Fotografo noerteamericano de Kentucky que comenzó en la fotografia como soporte para sus pinturas y termino siendo su principal forma artistica al convertirse en uno de los fotografos mas solicitados de las estrellas de Hollywood, Sus bellos y glamourosos retratos de las grandes estrellas comienza a partir de que Ramon Novarro le pidiese ser retratado.
Retrato a todas las estrellas de la MGM y la Warner brothers hasta la decada de los 40, momento que apartó la fotografia para realizar documentales para los soldados norteamericanos.
A mediados de los 50, a su regreso a la fotografia, su estilo habia quedado obsoleto.
Una exposicion en Museo de Arte Moderno de Nueva York en 1965 lo devovió a la primera linea hasta el 1976, año en que se retira oficialmente, a pesar de que siguió trabajando para diferentes estrellas de los 80 y 90 y diferentes trabajos.

Realizó trabajos junto a John Ford y Luis Buñuel.

Periodista, editor y fotografo sovietico nacido en Ucrania que formó parte del movimiento vanguardista ruso.
Su arte radica en la concepcion de la fotografia desde angulos inauditos que van desde el muy bajo hasta el mas alto, como la vista de pajaro.
Fotografió las factorias y la vida laboral hasta que en 1941, trabajó como corresponsal de guerra en el frente. Después de la guerra, Ignatovich concentra en el paisaje y el retrato, experimentando con el uso de símbolos, leyendas de imágenes, y las ideas del colectivismo, sobre todo en la agencia Soyuzfoto donde continuó trabajando como reportero gráfico hasta que murió en 1976.

His art lies in the conception of photography from unheard angles ranging from very low to the highest, as the sight of bird.
He photographed the factories and working life until 1941, he worked as a war correspondent at the front. After the war, Ignatovich focuses on landscape and portraiture, experimenting with the use of symbols, captions, and the ideas of collectivism, especially in the agency where he continued working Soyuzfoto as a photographer until his death in 1976.
